Rugs Add Class To Homes

Pars, stands for Persia or Persians, has rightfully claimed its place among the top wholesalers of hand-knotted carpets. Pars has the largest inventory of hand-knotted and factory made carpets from all around the world.  Pars also carries fine tapestries from France, Belgium, China, Turkey and Egypt.  Since we have eliminated the middle man we are able to guarantee the lowest prices.

Hossein Nateghpour, the owner of the Pars Rug Gallery, started his business in 1987 as a part of the former Weaver's Furniture on Oakland Avenue.  Pars Rug Gallery has been at 229 E. front St. in downtown Bloomington since fall of 1994 and it is locally owned and operated.

Hossein Nateghpour would like to see a day when every house has at least one fine rug.  Hossein is originally from Iran, one of the best known countries for weaving hand-knotted rugs.  Hossein is from a family with a rug-making background.  Today, He  loves his work, educating customers about rugs and the art and cultural expression of rug-making.  Hossein's travels to distances allows him to return to Bloomington with a "treasures from a distance land."
